Located in the Shawnee National Forest, this is a great place to go camping. The 1,050-acre Starved Rock State Park is located near Utica, Illinois and it offers several different types of cabins that you can rent, including ones with air conditioning!

Arizona – Meteor Crater
Meteor Crater is a meteorite impact crater located approximately east of Flagstaff in the northern Arizona desert of the United States. It is about 1,200 feet (370 m) in diameter and 170 feet (52 m) deep.
The age of this crater has been estimated to be 50,000 ± 40,000 years old based on radiometric dating of fragments of the meteorite found at its center.
The crater was created about 50,000 years ago when a nickel-iron meteorite collided with Earth at an estimated 30 km/s (67,000 mph). The resulting explosion had an energy equivalent to 100 megatons of TNT and formed a depression 55 meters deep that we now call Meteor Crater.

Florida – Dry Tortugas National Park
Dry Tortugas National Park is located in the Gulf of Mexico, 70 miles west of Key West. This national park is accessible only by boat or seaplane.
It is a popular destination for bird watchers, who come to see the more than 300 species of birds that visit the park.
The Dry Tortugas National Park consists of 7 small islands with an area of 54 square miles (137 km2). The main island Garden Key, which covers about 28 square miles (73 km2) has several hiking trails and campsites as well as a few picnic tables, restrooms and showers provided at no cost.
There are no hotels or restaurants onsite; however camping facilities are available on other islands within the park that can be reached by boat or seaplane from key West airport on Stock Island (just south of Downtown).

Glacier Bay National Park was established on June 15th, 1980, primarily because of its amazing glaciers that are accessible by boat or plane (if you’re lucky enough).

This area has been inhabited by humans for over 10,000 years but only recently did they begin exploring this land more thoroughly because it was relatively inaccessible until then it was first explored by Europeans when Captain Cook landed near there in 1778.

New York – Letchworth State Park
Letchworth State Park is a state park located in the towns of Castile and Portland in Wyoming County, New York.
It is located south of Rochester, New York and named after the English philanthropist Thomas Letchworth. The park contains the highest waterfall in New York, the Genesee Falls.
Letchworth also has many other waterfalls including Taughannock Falls which is one of my favorite places to hike to! There are many other hiking trails within Letchworth as well if you’re into that kind of thing!
Washington – Lake Chelan National Recreation Area
Lake Chelan is the largest natural lake in Washington, and it’s a beautiful place to camp.
The Lake Chelan National Recreation Area is known for its fishing and boating, as well as having an abundance of wildlife. The area is home to over 200 bird species, including bald eagles!

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii
If you’re looking for a unique experience that doesn’t involve a tropical beach, then Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is where you should go. The park includes two active volcanoes (Kīlauea and Mauna Loa), as well as the underwater volcano Kaimū.
